Jupiter Farms homes for sale,

Jupiter Farms is a dedicated equestrian area west of the Town of Jupiter.  Homes for sale in Jupiter Farms sit on sites of 1.25 acres of more up to 20 acres.  People live in Jupiter Farms because they like to own and ride horses, because they like peace and privacy, or simply to enjoy a little bit of the Florida lifestyle that is quickly disappearing.

Heading west from Jupiter on Indiantown Road, you will first pass the Toll Brothers community of Jupiter Country Club.  In typical Toll Brothers fashion, the Jupiter Country Club has an expansive and dramatic entrance made of stone with fountains, seasonal color beds and stately Medjool Date Palms.  Inside you will find Mediterranean inspired estate homes wrapped around a Greg Norman Signature Golf Course.

Continuing west, you will pass Riverbend Park, a Palm Beach County Park of nearly 1,000 acres where the Loxahatchee River gets its start as it winds through massive cypress trees, through Jonathan Dickinson State Park before entering the Jupiter Inlet and flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

Past Riverbend Park you arrive in Jupiter Farms.  Make a left on Jupiter Farms Road and you will find Trader Horn's nursery and green market, some local restaurants and the Jupiter Farms Community Park.  Burt Reynolds is Jupiter's most famous son and his old movie studio is here along with Town and Country Feed.

Homes for sale in Jupiter Farms were built over several decades so there are many sizes and styles offered.  You might like to live here if you like wildlife, want to be free of restrictive HOA Associations, like to own and quarter horses and yet still be just 20 minutes from the fabulous Jupiter Beaches.

If Jupiter Farms sounds like it might be right for you and your family, send me a short email with your questions and I will answer that for you.  Or contact me at 561-762-4073.

Riverbend Park in Jupiter Farms: 1838 Loxahatchee Battlefield Commemoration

Just west of Jupiter and Jupiter Country Club is the nearly 1,000 acre County Park called Riverbend Park.  The park includes the headwaters of the Loxahatchee River, one of two Federally Designated Wild & Scenic Rivers in Florida.  It also has several miles of shell rock road open to hikers and bikers and where each month on the full moon the park holds a full moon bike ride.

Canoe Outfitters rents canoes and kayaks or you can bring your own and work you way down the River, past enormous cypress trees, over several weirs, down to Trapper Nelson's old camp and then on to Jonathan Dickinson State Park.  You can join CO and they will pick you up in the Park and return you to Riverbend.  A trip down this river is like a trip back in time.

One of the other annual events held in the Park is the Commemoration of the 1838 Battle sponsored by the Loxahatchee Battlefied Preservationists.  This year, the event is being held Sunday, Jan 16 from 9 to 3.

Here is the video from last year.

It's a great family event held under majestic live oaks.  Plan to come out for a day of fun, see the Park, and when you are done, pick up some great authentic Mexican food at Guacamole just west of the Park in Sierra Square.  Then take a ride through Jupiter Farms.

Jupiter Farms is a dedicated equestrian area where homesites are one acre or more in size and where peace, privacy and freedom to do as you please are the order of the day.  Homes in Jupiter Farms start in the mid-$100's and go up to several million dollars.
